We forge vigilant defenders. Leveraging elite British standards and globally recognised accreditations , we deliver transformative training that instills the discipline and operational readiness needed to master modern security challenges worldwide.
Britannia Elite provides exemplary instructors dedicated to delivering world-class training programmes with the highest degree of professionalism and meticulous attention to detail. Our team's expertise is built on a foundation of valuable, real-world experience, with our instructors possessing between 5 and 35 years of British Army service. This extensive military background includes involvement in overseas operations and training exercises, ensuring they are deeply versed in the complexities of high-stakes environments. Furthermore, we possess key operational experience in the fields of Security & Civil Defence, particularly within the Close Protection and Oil & Gas security sectors.
Our instructors’ expertise is not limited to the British Army; many also bring years of experience from within the ranks of the police service, fire and rescue, paramedical, and private security sectors. This diverse background ensures every instructor contributes a unique specialisation to the programme, including weapon systems , communications , first aid , counter-terrorism , policing , firefighting , and search & rescue. This powerful combination ensures a training programme that is both tough and rewarding.
All our instructors are not only experts in their fields but are also qualified AET Level 3 Adult Education Tutors. To underscore our commitment to quality, our courses are externally validated and regulated by official awarding bodies within the UK education framework; these are not simple in-house certificates. This is overseen by our management team, who themselves possess extensive experience in teaching and quality management, ensuring a robust educational structure from top to bottom.
The programme provides a clear progression of security qualifications, beginning with a foundational, government-authorised Basic Security Guard certificate and advancing to a Level 3 and Level 4 in Close Protection Operations. These core competencies are supported by specialised training, including QNUK certification in vehicle and person searches, an NVQ Level 3 Award in handcuff and baton training for advanced control, and training in Krav Maga for self-defence. Furthermore, for industry-specific roles, a high-level NVQ Level 3 qualification from Pearson is available for Oil & Gas Emergency Coordination.
The training philosophy extends beyond just teaching current skills; it aims to anticipate and prepare students for future challenges. This is achieved by delivering a curriculum that surpasses standard offerings , using adapted elements of British Army , Civil Defence and other specialised training to push students both mentally and physically. The methodology blends classroom theory with practical, hands-on lessons, such as using "simulation casualty scenarios" for first aid training to create a real-life sense of urgency.
A clear progression in medical training is offered through NUCO-instructed courses. This begins with the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) PLUS qualification , advances to the more comprehensive First Aid at Work (FAW) PLUS , and culminates in the First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) PLUS certification for advanced scenarios. As well as lots of bolted on subjects that also hold their own qualifications.
Candidates receive progressive fire safety qualifications certified by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM). The training pathway covers a basic Fire Awareness course , advances to Fire Warden certification , and on to the Fire Marshal qualification for higher-level responsibilities.
The programme includes comprehensive weapons training for firearms proficiency, delivered by qualified UK Weapons Instructors. This is complemented by high-level Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) training, provided by an instructor from the UK Defence Academy at Cranfield University.
A range of specialist qualifications are integrated into the courses. These include advanced driver training from RoSPA BTEC , navigation skills leading to NNAS Map Reading Awards , and a CPD qualification in radio communications. Uniquely, students on longer courses can also obtain Maths and English NVQ Level 2 qualifications at no additional cost.
